The Jive Handles are original issue circa 1988. I had forgotten they were available in white. I had to get 'em. The guy was asking $40 shipped, I talked him down to $25. I've obtained a good number of parts from BMX Museum. Will definitely be posting pics. Also making a zine about rebuilding the bike (Aggro Rag 12).
The lawnmower needs to make a comeback, haa. Yep, I used a locking lever. Here is a list of the parts I've got so far for the 1985 CW California Freestyle build I'm doing: F/F - '85 CW California Freestyle with loop frame standers and tubes welded low on forks (white with lavender and black stickers); Bars - CW California Freestyle (white); Tioga Seat Clamp (lavender); Tioga Bear Trap 2 Headset (lavender); Profile Cranks, 175mm (white); Sugino Power Disc (white); Pro Neck 44T Chain Ring (lavender); Profile BB with sealed bearings (black); Profile Cone Washers (purple anodized); ACS True Tires 20 x 2.0 high-pressure (white); Trick Top Seat (lavender with Trick Top stamp in gold on back); Dyno Drain Pipe Seat Post (white); Dia-Compe Front Brake (white); Dia-Compe Tech-77 Locking Levers (white); GT Mallet Stem (white) with Potts Mod bolt; Odyssey Gyro; Gyro cables (lavender); Jive Handles Grips (white); Jive Nuts donuts (purple/black); KMC chain (nickel); Peregrine HP-48 rims (chrome); Peregrine Swivel Nuts axle nuts; Skyway brake pads (lavender); Neal Enterprises Jive Handles valve stem covers (lavender).
Do you know where I can find a pair of 9/16" KHE Stimulatorz pedals in white, with chromoly axles? And Tioga Roll-On pegs, 26T?
Andy, yes, thanks for asking. I'm working on Aggro Rag Freestyle Mag: The Complete Collection, a perfect-bound book that collects all eleven issues I made from '85-'89. It will be available on Amazon hopefully by this Christmas. It's thick. I'm also working on The Build: Anatomy of a Plywood Hoods Flatland Rig. The Build will be published as Issue 12 of Aggro Rag (full color cover, stapled). More details forthcoming. Also: shirts and stickers. Yeah, I've reserved aggrorag.com but haven't posted anything on the site yet. Thanks again for writing. Mike
