Event Description

JFK Park in Reynoldsburg, OH has hosted a ton of great riders over the past 25 years. And although the parking lot isn't the picture of perfection it once used to be, the history and vibe of this location is still alive and kicking.

We're keeping this one really simple, just the parking lot and your bike, very informal. The plan is to meet up, ride our butts off, have a few laughs, and head home with smiles on our faces. There are plenty of restaurants close by, and even a nice little public skatepark at JFK if you want to hit a ramp or two. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Update: There is no rain location or rain date.

The pavement still has some good life left in it.

If you feel the urge to flip JFK's gotcha covered.

Little kids will think you're cool if you can grind.

I'd like another opportunity to try and get down there. I had a good time at Chenga but would like another outdoor get-together before the weather really goes to shit.

Trying again is a great idea. I can also host us sometime downtown at the YWCA. Lots of parking lots and parking garages in case of rain or snow.

Great time everyone! I think Scott's little son summed it up the day best when he said, "I just want to ride my bike in circles and stay dry!"

Wouldn't mind trying this again sometime in October if there's enough interest!

Joe gliding a wheelchair and avoiding the puddles.

Marty setting up for a backwards decade.

Andy scuffing the glossy coating off his new tires.

Phil maneuvering around the pole in the pavilion.

Wes making R.L. Osborne proud.

Here's what it was like yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnUIuLuBZUc

Notables in the video:
1) people on the walking trail with umbrellas
2) wet cement 2-3 feet around the perimeter
3) Eric B & Rakim

I don't usually ride in really tight spaces like that so it presented a fun challenge. All-in-all I felt like we were pretty hard-core to ride for 5 hours in torrential down-pour.

It was a great time today. We rode all day under a pavilion on a nice concrete surface. Everyone that showed up rode hard and had a blast. I was going to go to chenga later but tim backed out and I figured i rode enough,

A few of use got together at Chenga due to the weather. Matt and Scott are probably still riding. Took a little while to get comfortable with that floor again, but a sweep seemed to help. Did you guys get a chance to ride in between rain down at JFK?

We're currently riding in the shelter house at JFK waiting for things to clear up.

Andy and crew. The flatland room upstairs at Chenga is pretty much a go as long as they know/trust one of the guys that's riding that day. So I'm planning on going up there around 3 pm as are a few other Cleveland area locals. Hit me up if you like 440.503.5075
